Those standing wire basket drawers were great for a while, but they never fit the space properly. I went through and culled alot of the clothes that were stored within them so now I can fit everything into the smaller chest of drawers! The space is so much nicer for choosing and organising my accessories (@woodyoubuy jewellery stands) - I can see my most worn jewellery, which means I'll likely wear it more! 😉

I've become addicted to reducing the amount of "stuff" I have and really being mindful of what I buy to bring back to the home. Hoping to tackle the storage in my home office next!

After spilling oil on my favourite sneakers quite

After spilling oil on my favourite sneakers quite a while ago (like a few years 😅) and never really cleaning them properly afterwards I was not hopeful of them ever looking nice again. I've been using dishwashing liquid to clean pretty much everything lately, so thought why not give that a go? So happy with the result!

You could use this method with grimy #secondhand sneakers from the #opshop or to refresh a pair that still have life left in your own wardrobe. 👟
.
🫧 Delaced the shoes and soaked them separately in Napisan plus handwashed with detergent.
🫧 Worked a generous amount of dishsoap into the stained areas of the shoes with my hands then scrubbed with a nail brush.
🫧 Left overnight to penetrate and break down the stain.
🫧 Placed in a garment bag and washed in the machine with a dark load to remove the detergent. Spin cycle also helped with the drying process.
🫧 Dried in the sun for several hours to really get all the layers dry and prevent mould/mildew.
🫧 Laced up and ready to wear!
