I am so proud of how this #upcycle project turned out - swipe to see the finished piece! I found the old school hutch at an #opshop this year for cheap and thought it would make a fabulous art box for my daughter for Christmas. 💖🎁

My process:
🎨 Sand back existing paint and decoupage (no before photo unfortunately!)
🎨 Repair wood as needed
🎨 Prime wood ready for painting
🎨 Paint with acrylics (around 15 hrs - relaxing and fun process)
🎨 Seal with a spray on gloss sealer
🎨 Fill with art and craft goodies!

👎 First dress had no tag but from the fit and quality I think it was an Anko style. See through, bad fit and not flattering.
👍2nd Dress is a Target linen blend style. Love the cut, colour and fit! This one came home with me! 💞
👍3rd dress also didn't have a label but the fabric is a heavier cotton and in a super cute floral print. Ruching and removable straps makes this dress comfy AF! This came home with me too.💖

Super excited to try on these items from @shop.goodsammy online store (my first online opshop experience!). I spent $90 on 4 items (not sponsored), which were BNWT or near new condition. Very easy to browse and buy, plus the click and collect option meant I saved $10 on postage!

Highly recommend this for those not able to visit the opshop, or wanting more of a curated opshopping experience. I'm super happy with my items as they all fit well, which can be a bit hit and miss when you buy online. The only thing that I think could improve is more of the clothes modelled on mannequins or people to show the cut better. 👍

It only took 5 months, but the playroom/area is finally looking close to finished! 👏🎉

Using a mix of #secondhand and new items, we've furnished and decorated the upstairs landing to create another zone for play and creativity. My favourite area is the reading nook with the @koala armchair/sofa bed.

Still need to finalise the kitchette/shop area and source/hang some more art but I'm really pleased with how it's looking!

Kids saying they are bored and driving you crazy on holiday? #repurpose an old sectioned lunchbox from your local #opshop and turn it into a craft/activity box! 🤯

It's excellent for keeping everything organised and neat while you are travelling, plus it's also relatively small and easy to pack into a backpack or nappy bag. This was a lifesaver for us when we travelled to Japan with the playdoh keeping a 3 and 5 yr old busy while we cooked, relaxed or spent time together. ☺️
.
I recommend keeping the box hidden away and made into a 'holiday surprise' to make it extra special and hold their attention for that little longer.
.
I used a selection of items I thought my daughter would enjoy, mostly sourced from opshops in the craft and kids sections:
💜 Craft stuff (glue, scissors, paper, crayons, stuff to stick to paper)
💜 Playdoh and accessories
💜 Fidget type toys and interesting things
💜 Puzzles
💜 Lollipops and lip balm for the plane
